What happens to a Coral bet builder if a player doesn't start?
Short answer
The whole bet is void. Coral's Bet Builder rules say that if one leg is voided, the bet is void, and player markets are void if the player doesn't start. Goalscorer markets (anytime, first, last, hat-trick) are the exception: they stand if the player takes part at all, starting or coming on as a substitute. Checked 26 Oct 2026.

Coral Bet Builder rules in brief
- If one leg is voided, the whole Bet Builder is void.
- Player markets are void if the player doesn't start, except goalscorer markets, which stand if he starts or comes on.
- If the match is postponed or cancelled, all bets are void.
- Extra time and penalty shootouts don't count, unless the market says otherwise.
- Player and team stats are settled on Opta data, with another official source as a fallback. If no clear result can be found, the bet may be void.
- On over and under player lines, finishing exactly on the line is a push and the stake is refunded.
- Bets are settled within 30 minutes of the end of the match.
Bet Builder+ works differently
Bet Builder+ puts Bet Builders from different matches into one acca. Coral says it works like any acca: if one leg is void, the bet continues on the remaining selections at adjusted odds. A void inside one of the Bet Builders is settled by that Bet Builder's own rules, and the rest of the acca settles as normal.
Cash Out and maximum payout
- Cash Out is available on Bet Builders in football leagues where Bet Builder runs, on listed in-play markets such as match result, total goals, both teams to score and correct score.
- Cash Out isn't available on a Bet Builder with more than 14 selections.
- The maximum payout on a Bet Builder is £100,000 on any single event.
Ladbrokes has the same rules
Ladbrokes publishes the same Bet Builder rules. Both brands are run by LC International Limited under one UK Gambling Commission licence.
How other bookmakers handle a void leg
Not every bookmaker voids the whole bet. Sky Bet runs the rest of a BuildABet at the remaining odds, and bet365 recalculates some pre-match player markets.
