Do own goals count for goalscorer bets?
Short answer
No. At every bookmaker whose goalscorer rule we could confirm (bet365, Sky Bet, Paddy Power and BoyleSports), own goals don't count for goalscorer bets. If the first goal is an own goal, Sky Bet and Paddy Power settle first goalscorer bets on the next goal. If the only goals are own goals, "no goalscorer" wins at Sky Bet and BoyleSports.

Who decides if it was an own goal
Deflected shots are where disputes start. Bookmakers settle on the goal as officially credited, usually by their data provider, so a shot that takes a big deflection can be given to the shooter or recorded as an own goal.
