Does Betfred have acca insurance on football?

Short answer

5+ legs, £10 cash backOffered with conditions

Yes. Betfred's acca insurance is part of Acca Flex: it returns your stake in cash, up to £10, if exactly one leg of a football accumulator of 5 or more legs loses, with every leg at odds of 1/2 or longer. Only your first qualifying acca each day counts (Betfred's Acca Flex terms, checked 18 Oct 2026).

Acca Flex: football accas of 5 or more legs at minimum odds of 1/2 (1.5) per leg, pre-match or in-play, for verified online customers. If exactly one leg loses, your stake back in cash, minimum £0.50 and maximum £10. First qualifying acca per day only. Free bet funds, coupons, specials, boosted prices, cashed out bets and permutation bets don't qualify, nor does an acca left with fewer than 5 legs after voids.

Rearranged means played 10 or more days away from the rest of its matchweek. Some moves are announced weeks ahead for cup ties or TV, so not every one would void a bet placed later.

On 17 Oct 2026, League One had 9 matches and League Two had 2 matches listed as postponed and waiting for a new date.

Which accas qualify

What doesn't qualify

Void, postponed or abandoned legs

Betfred's football rules remove a void or postponed leg and put your stake on the remaining selections, so a 6-leg acca with one void leg settles as a 5-leg acca. For Acca Flex, the number of legs left is what counts: if voids take an acca below 5 legs, neither the stake back nor the extra payment on winnings applies. A postponed match keeps its place in the acca if it is played within 48 hours of the original date and time.

Acca Flex also adds a cash payment on top of your winnings, worked out on winnings only, not on your stake. The most it pays is £35,000.

What we couldn't confirm

We couldn't confirm which football competitions and markets qualify: the terms we read on 18 Oct 2026 say football accumulator and do not list competitions or markets. We also couldn't confirm whether Acca Flex applies in Betfred shops. The terms we read are for online customers, so this page covers online accas only.

Older terms you may see quoted elsewhere

Some pages still quote earlier versions of this offer, with a minimum of 1/3 per leg, a refund as a free bet, or a smaller percentage for 5 legs. The figures on this page are from Betfred's own terms as we read them on 18 Oct 2026: minimum 1/2 per leg, stake back in cash, and 5% for 5 legs. Terms can change, so read Betfred's full terms before you bet.

Betfred acca insurance, explained

Does Betfred have acca insurance on football?
What is acca insurance?
Acca insurance gives you something back, usually a free bet, if exactly one leg of a qualifying accumulator loses. Minimum legs, minimum odds per leg and the maximum refund vary a lot. The refund is normally a free bet, not cash, and is often limited to your first qualifying acca each day.
Is Betfred's acca insurance refund cash or a free bet?
Cash. Betfred's Acca Flex terms say the stake back is paid in cash, from £0.50 up to £10, within 24 hours of the last match in the acca being settled.
What happens to Betfred acca insurance if a leg is postponed?
If the match is not played within 48 hours of its original date and time, that leg is removed and the acca settles on the rest. If that leaves fewer than 5 legs, the acca no longer qualifies for Acca Flex.
Does Betfred acca insurance work in-play?
Yes. Betfred's terms say the acca can be placed pre-match or in-play, as long as it has 5 or more legs at odds of 1/2 or longer each.
How many times a day can you get Betfred acca insurance?
Once. Only your first qualifying acca each day counts, for both the stake back and the payment on winnings.
What is the most you can get back from Betfred acca insurance?
£10 in cash if one leg loses. If every leg wins, the payment on winnings is capped at £35,000.
