What is Betfred's maximum payout on football?
Short answer
Up to £1,000,000 a day on the main UK and European leagues, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the League Cup and internationals. Lower limits apply elsewhere: £100,000, £50,000 or £10,000 depending on the competition. In a multiple, the lowest limit of any leg applies. From Betfred's football rules, checked 19 Oct 2026.

The limits are the most you can win in a day. They can be lower if you have also bet on other events.
Accas and bet builders
- In a multiple or accumulator, the lowest maximum payout of any leg applies to the whole bet. A double with one football leg and one novelty leg is capped at the novelty limit.
- A Bet Builder you make yourself has its own cap of £25,000 per customer per bet.
- Popular and Boosted Bet Builders are capped at £5,000 per customer per bet.
What we couldn't confirm
Betfred's football rules list the £100,000 tier twice with slightly different wording: one list names the Scottish Championship, League 1 and League 2, the other says Scottish Leagues 1, 2 and 3. Both put the Europa League and the main leagues' national cups at £100,000. The table above uses the first list. Check Betfred's Rules and Limits page if your bet is on a lower Scottish league.
